The Ultimate Comfort Food: Loaded Potato Fries

This recipe would serve two as a side dish, or one as a main dish ;). I cut three potato into 8 wedges.  Coat the potatoes in olive oil and roast them at 400 degrees for 15 minutes on one side then flip and roasted another 10 to 15 minutes until crispy and cooked through. I cooked the bacon ahead of time in the oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes until crispy. Bacon makes everything better, always! Cool the bacon on a paper towel and set aside until needed.

Assembling the fries is easy once the potatoes and bacon are cooked. Arrange the potatoes on a plate, sprinkle with cheese, drizzle with ranch and add bacon. Chive are nice garnish for this recipe if you have them, or green onions would be good too.

Try this recipe out the next time you need some sinful indulgence.

Cooking Tips

These Loaded Sweet Potato Fries + Avocado Lime Crema are the BEST! | Clean Food Crush

Since we’re not talking recipes here, let’s dive right into some handy tips to elevate your Loaded Potato Fries game.

  • Potato Choice: Not all potatoes are created equal, my friends. For the best fries, go for Russet or Maris Piper. Their high-starch content makes for crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside fries.
  • Double Fry: Yes, it sounds like a lot of work, but trust me, double frying is worth it. The first fry cooks the potato through and makes it tender, while the second crisps up the outside.
  • Seasoning: Don’t be shy with the seasoning. A dash of paprika or some cayenne pepper can add a delightful kick to your fries.

Can I use sweet potatoes instead?

Why not? Sweet potatoes make for a great variation. They bring a different flavor profile to the table, but they’re just as delicious.

What if I don’t have a deep fryer?

No problem! You can shallow fry your potatoes in a pan, or even bake them in the oven for a healthier twist.
